; Additional NotesThe name Sarcodontia setosum has been applied to a North American species but it seems to be assumed that it is synonymous with the European S. crocea (under which it is currently listed on the UK Species Inventory). Fungal taxonomy is in a period of great flux and the internationally accepted name for the species is actually Noblesia crocea.
