04/03/2021 Norwich city; TG225088; Bryum capillare; moss, living; James Emerson; George Grieff
; Additional NotesGeorge Grieff is a bryophilous fungi specialist and identified this based on photos of the fruiting body, host moss and spores. He suggests O. coccinea is likely to be a species complex and the species associated with Bryum capilliare is as yet undescribed, so it was recommended to treat it as Octospora coccinea s.l.
